God is the Head

“And He Shall Rule Over You”

Establishing the basis of my posts, I have used the Bible, the foundation of all knowledge, the instruction book for true happiness and peace of mind.  I know the desire of your hearts is please the Lord in everything you do.  I praise you for your diligent efforts to be true women of God, and that is why we must be “sober” Titus 2:4 in order to carry out such a great calling God has chosen us to fulfill.  Without our striving for this end, we will surely fail and can even “blaspheme His holy word.” Titus 2:5

Ever since the beginning of time (Genesis), God has set in order the roles of men and women for our spiritual growth and success in life.  God would not have began this awesome work of creation of man and women, who were in His image after his likeness (Genesis 1:26) without providing the “instruction book” for the building of a successful marriage and family and the way to true fulfillment in life.  If you’ve ever tried to follow some instruction manuals, you probably thought – ‘This thing it was written in Greek’ and you know what confusion can result. In listening to God’s admonition for our roles in life, God will satisfy the yearning deep inside each of us, the fulfillment and God esteem that God only can give.  It is God who richly blesses our lives with true happiness and peace of mind if we follow his ways.

When Eve was deceived by Satan, one of the things Eve had to learn “your desire shall be toward your husband, and he shall rule of you” (Genesis 3:16).  Contrary to the feminist view (future posts), Satan has used various lies to confuse, divide and conquer the God ordained role of marriage and family, and it has led to the staggering statistics that we find in our homes, nation, and especially what we hold so dear, the church, the mother of us all who truly seek to please our spiritual head Christ, the beacon of the Kingdom of God in type on earth, thus extinguishing our lights that God has given us to shine in a very darkened world.

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” Matthew 5:14”

Looking at the statistics, it’s easy to see that something has gone seriously wrong.  In the United States alone and it is obvious:

  • According to Divorce Magazine, “Statistics tell us that about half of all marriages now end in divorce.”
  • Teen Suicide was the 3rd leading cause of death among young adults and adolescents 15 to 24 years of age
  •  Nearly one-third of American women (31 percent) report being physically or sexually abused by a husband or boyfriend at some point in their lives, according to a 1998 Commonwealth Fund survey and is on the rise.
  •  An average of nearly four children die every day as a result of child abuse or neglect (1,760 in 2007), and is on the rise.
  •  Living with their married biological parents places kids at the lowest risk for child abuse and neglect, while living with a single parent and a live-in partner increased the risk of abuse and neglect to more than eight times that of other children.

Satan never sleeps.  He is continually finding ways to try to infiltrate his deceptive ways into the lives of men and women He has called.  God is speaking not only to the leadership role of the man as Paul stated “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,”  Ephesians 5:25 but to the of the eventual birth of the Christian church, the bride of Christ.  Men and women of God are both the bride of Christ; the church has no gender in the spiritual sense.

Christ does and should have the leadership rule in the lives of all women, and we are admonished with all soberness to heed the sound doctrine that Christ has given us through his Word.

We shall go on to begin to see the roles of the women God has established through his word as he ordained marriage and family in the next post.

Dear Father,

We ask that you please help us to be sober in our efforts to understand your roles for us as married women, so that we can please you in that special calling that you have given us, that we may catch the vision of our families as examples of whom are to be the light of the world and the mend the threads of the fabric of the beautiful tapestry you desire to weave –  that of our families, this nation, and especially to honor you as our spiritual Husband and strengthen  us so that we might thrawt the disunity that Satan has and is infiltrating into our churches. We thank you for your instruction book you provided, your Word and the strength you will give us as we look to you.  Father, also help us who are single to see this same role in that same light, as we are espoused to your Son to be His bride.  Help us to live the life that honors the name of our future Husband, so that the name of our Husband will be known in the gates of our cities.  We await the wedding supper and the opportunity as Esther to help to usher in the age of peace.
