Mt. Zion

We do not need Mt. Zion
To quake beneath our feet
We don’t need rain withheld from us
For God to us intreat

We do not need a hurricaine
Or wonders or a sign
We only need a miracle
A healing of the mind

We don’t need recreation
To fill each hour of day
Nor fill our homes with carnal things
To take our pain away

This is all we ask of God
Forgiveness, daily bread
A chance to intercess for man
A quiet heart instead

For we have come to Zion
Where Father dwells and reigns
Where fear and want are absent
Where peace and truth remains

And there we guard our heritage
With armour God does give
Preserving truth and living faith
By how we all do live

For we have come to Zion
God’s city from above
For there dwells Father God and Christ
A Kingdom found on love

October 1995

Heb 20:18 You have not come to a physical mountain, to a place of flaming fire, darkness, gloom, and whirlwind, as the Israelites did at Mount Sinai.

Heb 12:19 And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more.

Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.

Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.

FOR TODAY:  Women of God, let’s know that whatever difficulties or trials we face, we have a city in heaven where we can come boldly.  God hears every fear and worry no matter how big or how small.

Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Let’s thank God for His precious promises!
