Where My Treasure Is

My post today is a heartfelt letter to all of my friends and young mothers that I saw lighting up Facebook on Friday as the news was rolling out about the school shooting. Statements of horror, sorrow, sympathy, anger and fear were repeated over and again by mothers throughout the afternoon and evening.

I shared the same feelings and concerns and sorrow. We can speculate all day and night as to why people do things like this, we can be overcome by concern and worry that something will happen to our own precious little ones when they are out of our sight, and we can become cynical about the society that we live in. We can do all of these things in turn and yet still find ourselves on an endless wheel in our minds with no concrete answers.
